This is something I found a while ago, it's an original Laura Ashley shift dress, I think it probably dates from the late 1960s or early 1970s. I got it for a steal from the Salvation Army charity shop up the road. It was slightly too big, but I finally got round to taking it in today, and now I'm really looking forward to wearing it.
I love the bold graphic fabric in muted autumnal colours - the style is so different from Ashley's favoured pink tea roses and frills, and so I wonder if it might be a more rare piece. Not bad for £4.
